Product description
During normal use, while moving on the rope, the device moves freely without needing to be engaged. In the event of a fall or uncontrolled descent (exceeding two meters per second), the device locks onto the rope and stops you. The integrated LOCK function allows you to stop the device to reduce fall height. The connecting arm facilitates passing rope breaks, making the system non-detachable, and the stops simplify rope installation. For rescue situations, ASAP LOCK is used in combination with the ASAP’SORBER AXESS energy absorber.
• Mobile fall arrester on rope:
- stops falls and uncontrolled descents exceeding two meters per second,
- locks onto the rope even if the device is grabbed during the fall,
- works on vertical, horizontal, or inclined ropes,
- compatible with a wide range of ropes from 10 to 13 mm in diameter,
- effective regardless of rope condition (frozen, muddy), thanks to the toothed wheel.
• Compact and easy to use:
- easily installed and removed at any point on the rope,
- moves up and down the rope without intervention,
- opening stops facilitate rope installation and removal,
- connecting arm makes the system non-detachable when passing rope breaks,
- integrated LOCK function allows stopping the device to reduce fall height or prevent the rope from being pulled up in strong wind.
• Used in combination with:
- ASAP’SORBER AXESS energy absorber for two-person rescue use up to 250 kg,
- ASAP’SORBER 20/40 energy absorber for single-person use up to 140 kg.
• ASAP LOCK can be used as a self-locking device in a rope access system or as a primary fall arrest device.
• ASAP LOCK is also available in pre-assembled kits for ready-to-use solutions, including an ASAP’SORBER AXESS or ASAP’SORBER 20 or 40 energy absorber and an OK TRIACT-LOCK or Bm’D TRIACT-LOCK connector.
