The CPR Uni-padz ™ electrodes, which can only be used with the ZOLL AED 3® defibrillator, have an exceptional lifetime of five years and can be applied to adult and pediatric patients, eliminating the need for two sets of electrodes. The color LCD display of ZOLL AED 3 shows graphs that coincide with the shape and colors of the electrodes, favoring their correct positioning on adults and children. By appropriately positioning the electrodes and activating the child mode of ZOLL AED 3, the defibrillator can be used to treat pediatric patients aged 8 years or less or weighing less than 25 kg. CPR Uni-padz are pre-connected to ZOLL AED 3 for quick use. The CPR reference device includes a guide for correct hand positioning and provides ZOLL's exclusive Real CPR Help® feedback. Real CPR Help It often happens that compressions with inadequate frequency and depth are performed during CPR. Adult victims require 100 to 120 compressions per minute at a depth of 5 to 6 cm. Compressions must be well performed to ensure proper blood and oxygen intake. The ZOLL AED 3 defibrillator instantly converts compressions data coming from CPR Uni-padz electrodes and provides real-time voice, text and visual feedback that helps the rescuer perform CPR with the right frequency and depth. The device indicates to the rescuer that a "greater compression" is necessary if the compressions are too weak or encourages him with the message "adequate compressions" if the depth of compression meets the guidelines. It also shows in "real time" the depth of compression in the CPR via a bar gauge on the color monitor that allows the rescuer to correct the depth already at the next compression, if necessary. All you need for relief CPR Uni-paz electrodes come complete with CPR protective mask, scissors, disposable gloves, a blade, a cloth and a moist wipe. * Feedback on compression depth is disabled in pediatric mode.
