Intellisense® paddles for pediatric defibrillation are recommended in case of rescue for very young children under 8 years of age or with a lower weight and 25 kg. Like the adult defibrillation paddles, the pediatric paddles are not polarized and can be positioned at will on the chest, without the risk of making mistakes between the left and right of the chest. This detail facilitates the intervention. Eventually, one plate can be attached to the center of the chest and the other on the back. The defibrillator recognizes the pediatric paddles connected to its circuit and delivers the discharge accordingly, in line with the best international intervention protocols.
