Pedi-padz II The Unique DAE for complete cardiorespiratory rescue with intelligent pediatric functions The ZOLL AED Plus® with intelligent pediatric functions has a system of audible and visual messages that communicate to the rescuer that the Pedi-padz® II electrodes are connected, ensuring the use of the correct electrodes. When cardiac arrest occurs, only half of the victims need an electric shock. The other half needs a cardiopulmonary resuscitation massage (CPR). Separate and specific algorithms are used for adults and children to analyze the victim's heart rhythm. ZOLL's AED Plus can defibrillate children up to eight years of age using Pedi-padz II electrodes. When the pedi-padz electrodes II are connected, the AED Plus device recognizes that an operation is being performed on a pediatric patient. With specially developed ECG analysis for pediatric heart rate, combined with appropriate defibrillation energy levels, the AED Plus device is able to handle emergencies on adult and pediatric patients. The Pedi-padz II electrodes are specifically designed to be used with the AED Plus and are also compatible with professional defibrillators, allowing continuity of assistance. The AED Plus does not use a resistance or devices to reduce the energy delivered. The presence of anatomical diagrams on the package facilitates the correct positioning of the electrodes.
