A soft sponge completely wraps the foot, ankle and shin protecting areas subject to greater stress. The wide elastics that wrap around the ankle and the center of the foot keep the sock stable while the soft cuff holds it in place so that it does not drop down the leg. A "shield" of highly resistant technical yarn completely covers the sock making it durable and suitable for prolonged working use.
